Ethereal Dresses

With springtime approaching and the rainy season just beginning, I am starting to daydream about the sunny days and warm weather. Dreamy dresses... the more flowy, feminine and ethereal - the better. I created a small collection of those that I am really loving right now. I can dream....

From top to bottom: Marchesa, BCBG Max Azria, Vena Cava, Halston, and Jeffrey Monteiro

Orla Kiely for Target!

My good friend Jessie absolutely adores Orla Kiely and rightfully so! She began as a designer that changed the face of textiles through the use of fresh colors and patterns. Her brand has now grown to include womenswear, housewares, travel accessories, and so on.

She has collaborated with Target to create a great kitchenware line using her fresh patterns and bright color palette. All items are made of melamine which is great for both indoor and outdoor use.

Enjoy!

Le Gun

Le Gun is a art narrative based out of London Fields, England and it is really incredible. They are four volumes deep and I just picked up the most recent issue. The artwork is incredibly powerful. Le Gun was created by Alex Wright, Bill Bragg, Chris Bianchi, Neal Fox, Matt Appleton, and Robert Greene.

Alexander Wang

I absolutely adore Alexander Wang. What an inspiration. Originally from San Francisco, Wang moved to NYC to study fashion design at Parsons. After only one year, he had designed his first line.

He defines his style as "model off duty"... and I agree. It is beautifully elegant while maintaining a sense of cool relaxed femininity that is so rare these days.  Here are some examples from his Spring 2009 line.
